Made from stained oak, this lamp pairs the warmth of natural materials with a design that evokes | strength, femininity and nostalgia. The lamp's central figure is inspired by an ornamental motif that recurs on the doors and windows of old houses and buildings around the world: two pairs of opposing spirals. I am moved by the universality of this form, a shared symbol that transcends cultures and borders. The name of the piece, Candado (padlock), evokes both the idea of protection and the desire to connect. Beyond its function as a light source, I hope the Candado lamp conveys a sense of warmth and familiarity, like an object that is part of everyday life.
