Juancha is an artist and researcher whose work explores cultural symbols — how they transform and are re-appropriated over time. This lens shapes his approach to design, aligning him with attitudes and influences close to post-modernism. He draws inspiration from staying in dialogue with the places around him and from seeing others create and design.
Referential, adaptable, and full of presence, his designs aim to reflect his sense of humor — each piece feeling like a hybrid between an object and a creature inhabiting the space it lives in.
He is currently working toward a multi-medium production studio, developing ideas across scales — from artistic expression to furniture, interior design, and livable spaces — always maintaining a balance between industrial and artisanal character.
